Open Burning
The Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection enforces the Open Burning regulations contained in the Forsyth County Code. Please visit their web site for information relating to Residential Open Burning and Land Clearing Open Burning in Forsyth County. The Forsyth County Office of Environmental Assistance and Protection also requires registration of all land clearing open burning. Please contact them at (336) 703-2440 for information relating to registration of land clearing burning.
In addition to meeting the Forsyth County regulations relating to Open Burning, a permit is also required by the NC Forest Service.
Burning permits may be obtained online or in person from a county permit agent.
