Your Woodland. Your Legacy.

Family looking at stewardship plan

Protect water quality. Improve wildlife habitat. Grow healthy trees.

Whichever benefits you desire for your woodland, the North Carolina Forest Stewardship program can help you plan. The program is voluntary and participants receive recognition for achievements in promoting total forest resource management. Landowners receive technical assistance in developing a stewardship management plan. Recommended activities in the plan enhance your forest property for wildlife, soil and water quality, timber production, recreational opportunities and natural beauty. The recommendations focus on practical modifications of existing conditions. For more information about the North Carolina Forest Stewardship Program, contact your county forest ranger, Stewardship Coordinator Jonathan Murray or simply submit the brief form on the right.
