Fire Danger Cards for Firefighter Safety
Fire Danger Pocket Cards are an aid for interpreting National Fire Danger Rating Index values for local Fire Danger Rating Areas (FDRAs). They are based on current and historical weather and historic fire occurrence. The Pocket Card displays a general assessment of the fire danger potential and identifies combinations of local weather and fuel conditions that might contribute to severe fire behavior. The cards help to increase firefighter safety through awareness of conditions and fire potential.
